Examination
- The Semester End Examinations for Semesters I, II (F.Y. B.A., B.Com, B.Sc) and Semesters III and IV (S.Y. B.A, B.Com, B.Sc.) are conducted by college on behalf of the University of Mumbai.
- Y. B.A. / T.Y. B.Com / T.Y. B.Sc. (Semester V & VI) examinations are conducted by the University of Mumbai.
- Dates for Examination for F.Y.B.Sc. And S.Y.B.Sc. are announced by college 4-6 weeks before the commencement of exam.
- Dates for T.Y. B.A. / T.Y. B.Com / T.Y. B.Sc. (Semester V & VI) are announced by the University of Mumbai.

Eligibility
- For admission to Semester V (Third year) of UG programs in Faculty of Arts/ Commerce/ Science is as follows:
- Learner shall have passed Semester I, Semester II, Semester III and Semester IV in full.
OR
Learner shall have passed Semester I and Semester II in full and secured ATKT in Second year by failing in not more than three courses and failing with not more than total 200 marks in each of Semester III and IV.
OR
Learner shall have passed Semester III and Semester IV in full and secured ATKT in First year by failing in not more than three courses with not more than total 200 marks in each of Semester I and II.
- A learner shall be allowed to keep terms for Semester VI irrespective of grades obtained in each course of Semester V.
- The result of Semester VI shall be kept in abeyance until the learner passes each of Semester I, Semester II, Semester III, Semester IV and Semester V in full.
Mode of Conduct of Semester End Additional Examination
- There is one additional examination for Semester I, II, III and IV for those who have failed or remained absent
- The absent learner will be allowed to appear for the additional examination by the head of the institution after fulfilling the necessary formalities with regard to the reasons of being absent to the satisfaction of the head of the institution.
- Additional examination will be held 20 days after the declaration of results of semester end examinations, but not later than 40 days.
- Additional examination for Semester I and II are held after the conduct of Semester II regular examination in March/ April every year
- Additional Examination for Semester III and Semester IV are held after the conduct of Semester IV regular examination in March/ April every year.
- However Additional Examination for Semester II and Semester IV be held after 20 days and before 40 days from the date of declaration of result of the respective Semester End Examination.
Point to Remember for Students Appearing for Examination
- Cheating/ copying during examination is strictly prohibited.
- Mobiles are not allowed in the examination room.
- Writing pads, pencil pouches are not allowed in the examination room.
- Students can be randomly frisked by the Teacher Supervisor, Exam Coordinator or Principal during the exam if suspected of copying/malpractice.
- Any student belonging to Divyangjan category should submit an application along with supporting certificate duly signed and attested by competent authority (LD, VI, HI) in the college general office at least one week before the commencement of exams.
Action Taken Against malpractice during Examination
- Any student caught cheating during the college examinations FY B.A (Semester 1 &2), SY B.A (Semester 3 &4), FY B.Com (Semester 1 &2), SY B.Com (Semester 3 &4), FY B.Sc. (Semester 1 &2), SY B.Sc. (Semester 3 &4) will have to face the consequences as per the decision of the unfair means committee of the college.
- Any student caught cheating during the University exam [TY B.A (Semester 5 & 6), TY B.Com (Semester 5 & 6), TY B.Sc. (Semester 5 & 6)] will face the consequences as per the decision made by the University.
Instructions for students Appearing for ATKT Examination
Students appearing for college ATKT examinations (Semester I, II, III and IV), are required to fill the Examination form within 15 working days after the declaration of results.
Students appearing for University ATKT examinations TY B.A (SemV & VI), TY B.Com (SemV & VI), TY B.Sc (SemV & VI) are required to fill the Examination form within 7 working days after the declaration of results
Examination forms are available in the college General Office (3rd Floor).
Timing: 10.30 – 1.00pm only.
Photocopy / Revaluation of exam Answer Sheet (Only for Theory Exam)
Students who wish to apply for photocopying/revaluation of answer sheets of college or University exams, are required to apply within 7 working days from the date of the declaration of results.
Revaluation charges are Rs. 250/- per paper and Photocopy charges are 50/- per paper.
Forms are available in the college General Office (3rd Floor) on payment of Rs. 10/-
Timing: 10.30 – 1.00pm only.
Grace Marks
NSS volunteers shall be eligible for the award of 10 grace marks. Those students who participate in sports or any cultural event, wherein, the student represents the college and/or the University at the State, National or International level, are awarded grace marks as per the rules of the University of Mumbai.

The 10 Point Grading System is implemented from the academic year 2016-17

Attendance Learner
- There is an Attendance Committee, for smooth conduct of this ordinance.
- Every bonafide learner shall ordinarily be allowed to keep terms for the given semester in a program of his enrolment, only if he fulfils at least seventy-five percent (75%) of the attendance taken as an average of the total number of lectures, practical’s, tutorials. Further it is mandatory for every learner to have min 50% attendance for each course and average attendance has to be 75%.
- The Principal/Director/Head of the concerned College/Institute/Department of the University shall be the competent authority to condone the absentee of any learner further up to additional 25%, if deemed fit and on recommendation of the attendance committee of the said college/Institute/Department of the University, who recommends the learner falling short of minimum attendance for keeping terms to the competent authority having verified the genuineness and gravity of the problem that justifies the learner to remain absent, which generally shall be limited to his own sickness, sickness of his parent; death of his parent etc. supported by valid evidence, documentary or otherwise.
- Warning letters are issued to the defaulting learners at least twice in every semester
- At the end of the semester on recommendation of the attendance committee the Principal/Director/Head of the college/Institute/University Department shall display list of the learners who are not allowed to keep terms, allowing them to appeal to the Principal/Director/Head of the College/Institute/Department of the University within 3 days from the date of display of the notice. After disposing the appeals the Principal/Director/Head shall intimate the same to the In-charge of Examinations/the Controller of examinations to withdraw the examination forms of such defaulting learners under intimation to those learners ensuring that this communication reaches the concerned at least 10 clear days before the commencement of the respective examinations.
- The learners whose terms are not granted by the college/institute/department of the University can appeal to the controller of examinations, if desired, in a prescribed form and by paying fees prescribed by the Management Council within 3 days from the receipt of this intimation and that the controller of examinations shall arrange a hearing of the learners along with their concerned Principals/Directors/Heads of the Department, represented in person or through a teacher nominated by them before the committee (one each for every faculty) nominated by the Management Council comprising of 3 members including the convener. The respective committees shall convey their decisions to the controller of examinations which shall be final and binding on the learners once accepted and communicated by the controller of examinations.
